Hale

Hale is a turn-based RPG that, making use of the engine and setting from the fantastic Battle for Wesnoth, offers a totally new story with its own characters and development apart from the original game.

From the main game menu you can select the chapter of the campaign you want to play. In other words, depending on your prior experience you can start playing from Chapter 3 (although it's advisable to start from the first one, or even complete the tutorial beforehand).

Hale shares many common elements with The Battle for Wesnoth, which you'll clearly notice when it comes time to do battle. Nevertheless, as the story develops, it offers many elements belonging to traditional role-play rather than strategy games.

You can increase the number of characters in your group of adventurers, or change their equipment (armor, weapons, potions, etc.). In addition, you have the option to select different dialogue options in certain cases.

Hale is a highly entertaining turn-based RPG, which in spite of its occasionally coarse interface offers both an interesting story line and an excellent challenge.
